Basic equipment to accomplish these job duties at home are a computer with high-speed Internet connection and a headset with a foot pedal to receive and transcribe digital dictation. A fax machine and printer may be required, but this will vary based on your employer’s requirements. A library of good medical reference materials is a must as well.
